The 101st Rangeland Derby at the Calgary Stampede came to a close Sunday night with veteran driver Jason Glass, driving the Birchcliff Energy Ltd. Outfit, taking home the Rangeland Derby Championship. Glass was supported by outriders Dayton Sutherland and Tyson Whitehead, winning the championship final from barrel number 1 in heat number 9 by 1.91 seconds over defending Rangeland Derby.
It’s the second time that Jason Glass has won the Cowboys Rangeland Derby Championship as a chuckwagon driver, his first coming in 2013, and a first for outriders Dayton Sutherland and Tyson Whitehead.
